Among the Trolls is a new survival game developed by Forbidden Studios.
We entered the project in mid pre-production for the Demo. The environment was non-existing, and we had to create the terrain from scratch based on a custom 2D map created by the Art Director. Terrain was brought into Unity, textured and optimized for gameplay.
We’re also taking care of foliage, and its system of blending between different seasons and their growth system. Making sure to deliver a fully dynamic foliage system, that grows and changes its appearance based on actual Game Time – with help from Forbidden’s programmers who are making sure to implement that system into the game’s own timeline.
Also did some SpeedTree work, creating trees and bushes, that did not end up being in the demo video.
Set dressing and level design is a shared effort with Elianora Junkkari.
3D assets have been modeled and textured by Paul Teaha.
The game is still in development and we are all working together at the moment.
